VA250 Mobile Museum to Visit Arlington’s HistoryFest on May 9 at Kenmore Middle SchoolArlington, VA — Arlington residents will have a unique opportunity to step inside Virginia’s Revolutionary past when the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience arrives at Arlington’s HistoryFest on Saturday, May 9, at Kenmore Middle School. The VA250 Mobile Museum is part of the statewide commemoration led by the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission (VA250), marking the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Designed as an immersive, traveling exhibit, the mobile museum brings Virginia’s Revolutionary-era stories directly to communities across the Commonwealth.Housed in a custom-built trailer outfitted with interactive displays, multimedia presentations, and artifact reproductions, the museum explores Virginia’s critical role in the founding of the United States. Visitors will learn about the political debates, military campaigns, and everyday people—patriots, loyalists, soldiers, free and enslaved Virginians—whose lives were shaped by the struggle for independence.“HistoryFest is about bringing Arlington’s rich past to life,” said Peter Vaselopulos, President of the Arlington Historical Society. “The VA250 Mobile Museum connects our local stories to the broader story of Virginia and the American Revolution, helping residents understand how events 250 years ago continue to shape our nation today.”HistoryFest attendees can tour the mobile museum for free throughout the day. Knowledgeable guides will be on hand to answer questions and provide context for the exhibits, making the experience engaging for students, families, and lifelong history enthusiasts alike.HistoryFest at Kenmore Middle School will feature exhibits, local history organizations, living historians, and family-friendly activities celebrating Arlington’s past. For more information about HistoryFest and the VA250 Mobile Museum Experience, visit arlhist.org/arlington-va250/
