Early Work for Army Navy Drive Protected Bike Lane Project Starting Week of Nov. 10Army Navy Drive Protected Bike Lane ProjectStarting the week of November 10, crews will begin preparations for construction between South Joyce Street and Memorial Drive. In the first weeks of work, crews will be installing tree protection which will be in place for the duration of construction, demolishing the center median at the South Joyce Street intersection, as well as manhole work and other work within the road.During this time, the lanes closest to the median will close on Army Navy Drive between South Joyce Street and South Lynn Street. Car traffic will shift to the outer lanes. The northbound bike lane will be closed, and bicyclists will share the traffic lane. The southbound bike lane will remain open. About the Project This project will add bike lanes along Army Navy Drive, sidewalk and curb ramp improvements, and streetlight and storm sewer improvements within the project area.
